Based on the whimsical short story of the same name, this live performance piece combines spoken word, immersive sound effects and interactive elements into a fun and unpredictable tale for the whole family.
Expect plenty of drama, tantalising theatrics, wild sound effects, and the answer to one question: Did an ostrich really escape captivity and wander around Singapore years ago? Or is it just an auntie’s tale?
Join author-performer Kane Wheatley-Holder and sound design folks from Artwave for a tale you’ve never heard of—and might never hear of again!
Be sure to check out the interactive digital version of this story as part of Esplanade’s little red comma project to reimagine SingLit.
Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
