Her album Estava Faltando Você released in 2002 earned her a Tim Awards nomination for Best Samba Singer. O que é Meu released in 2010 won Best CD and Best Singer at the Lapa Music Awards. Her album Verde Amarelo Negro Anil received a nomination in the Best Samba/Pagode album category at the 16th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards in 2015.
Nilze has sung and played alongside Brazilian and international music icons such as Dona Ivone Lara, Zeca Pagodinho, Jair Rodrigues, Mart'nália Mart ‘Nalia, Olívia Hime, Monarco, Nei Lopes, Nelson Sargento, Hamilton de Holanda, Elton Medeiros, Hermínio Bello de Carvalho, Dudu Nobre, Zélia Duncan, Fátima Guedes, Roberta Sá, Teresa Cristina, Sadao Watanabe among others.
