Synopsis

This performance will feature selected movements of Piano Trio No.2 by Chinese-Canadian composer An-Lung Huang, a work that blends contemporary classical language with deep cultural resonance. Known for drawing inspiration from Asian musical traditions, Huang’s music bridges East and West, creating a sound world that is both modern and rooted in heritage.

Together, the programme explores themes of cultural continuity, migration, and reinterpretation—highlighting how traditional musical elements can be reimagined within a contemporary chamber music setting.
