Synopsis

Dive into an underwater adventure as a magical ocean springs to life at PIP’s PLAYbox.

Long ago, the waters surrounding Singapore were inhabited by magical sea creatures. However, over time, these creatures began to disappear. Now, children across Singapore are helping to bring them back.

In this collaborative preschool project led by eco-artist Didier Ng, preschoolers create turtles, fish, jellyfish, and more magical sea creatures using upcycled and recyclable materials. These handmade marine animals from participating schools will come together to form a giant underwater world at PIP’s PLAYbox.

Come and see how this islandwide effort unfolds in a colourful display that will be co-created by young children and assembled by the artist.

Wish to create something more for the installation? Come join us at Craft Your Own Octopus at PIP’s PLAYbox where you create a mini octopus to add to the vibrant underwater display or take it home as a keepsake.

Advisory:

PIP’s PLAYbox is open from 11am – 6pm daily (closed for cleaning from 2pm – 3pm).
