Hot off the heels of their Hong Kong tour, the Litmus Jazz Ensemble is back and cooking up a sizzling new set of tunes for their upcoming album! This edition of MAD LABS serves up an explosive concoction of originals, steeped in hard bop and funk-fusion fuels. So come on down and watch your step—lab will be in session.

Formed in 2020 as a sandbox project for original jazz compositions, Litmus Jazz Ensemble has quickly become a standout group in Singapore’s modern jazz scene.

 

Blending jazz, funk, and neo-soul with an infectious live energy, the band first made waves in 2021 with their LITMUS Sessions music video series. Since then, they’ve lit up festivals like GastroBeats and the Singapore Night Festival in 2022, and released their debut EP, LANDING STRIP, in 2023. Expanding internationally, Litmus Jazz Ensemble also toured Hong Kong in 2024 and 2025.

 

Now, the band is hard at work on a new album and on the prowl for opportunities to share their new music with audiences locally and globally.
