Opera, but make it seriously fun! L’arietta Productions redefines the art form with bold, playful performances with humour, drama, and a touch of the unexpected. From one-minute operas to immersive psychodramas—and even an opera about speed dating—our shows prove that opera can be witty, wild, and wonderfully entertaining. Whether it’s Mozart, Singaporean composers, or musical theatre favourites like Spamalot, we bring stories to life in a way that’s fresh, exciting, and downright fun. Forget the old clichés—this is opera like you’ve never seen it before!

L’arietta Productions presents fresh exciting operas with modern and contemporary execution, working with composers at the forefront of classical music, such as Grammy nominated Lori Laitman, and National Arts Council (NAC) Young Artist Award winner Chen Zhangyi. Collaboration is our forte: opera is the intersection of all art forms, and together we dive into stories that matter today.

 

Meaning “a little song” in Italian, the name grew from our belief that while small and intimate, chamber operas retain the power of expression that rivals its grander, more well-known cousins.
