Faridah Ali is a warm and affable presence who began her musical journey by singing jingles and providing backup vocals in recording studios. While her favourite genre is jazz standards, she is equally at ease performing pop and ballads.

A passionate lyricist, Faridah has co-written several songs with her late brother, Farid Ali—fondly remembered as “Mr. Gambus,” a renowned jazz guitarist and composer. Known as the “singing psychologist,” Faridah brings the same passion to her work in a social service organisation as she does to staying connected with the music and jazz community.
