Voices Originals: Bernice Ong

Bernice Ong is a Singaporean singer-songwriter known for her distinctive sound that blends elements of folk-pop, soul and R&B. Drawing inspiration from era-defining songwriters of the 2010s such as Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, as well as the soulful musicality of artists like Bruno Major and Tori Kelly, Bernice weaves together a world of heartfelt lyricism, combining campfire melodies with gospel-infused sensibilities.

Since joining the local music scene, Bernice has also written and arranged music for other artists for local and regional projects, including collaborations with Gentle Bones and Sorn. Recently, she released her self-written and self-produced EP, Freedive, which was recorded and mixed at Snakeweed Studios.
