Synopsis

Join OPE – Our Percussion Ensemble and the talented young percussionists from Kranji Primary School as they take you on a vibrant journey through global percussion. From the energetic beats of the Irish dance sensation Lord of the Dance to the rich traditions of Chinese folk rhythms and more, this performance is a celebration of diverse cultures and their unique sounds.

 

Get ready to drum along! We welcome all children to join the fun and feel the beat with us.

Founded in 2014, OPE - Our Percussion Ensemble is driven by a passion for bringing percussion music to everyone. With a focus on youth engagement, they have been inspiring the next generation through dynamic performances and hands-on workshops in schools across the region.

Kranji Primary School

Formed in 2020, Kranji Primary School Percussion Ensemble actively performs at school events such as the annual Prize Giving Day and CCA Open House, and for the community at Limbang Constituency during National Day celebrations.

 

Under the leadership of Mr Bernard Yong, the ensemble earned a Certificate of Distinction at the 2024 Singapore Youth Festival.
