A vibrant young woman is the next Living Ancestor of her tribe, a role meant to be a great honour— to continue the unbroken line and bring pride to her family. Yet, something within her questions the way things have always been done.
Living Ancestor is a layered storytelling experience composed of dramatic text, spoken word and performance by ArunDitha, dynamic multimedia by SISTRUM Collective, and a fusion of electronic and traditional sounds by Beatroot Ensemble, featuring Mohamed Noor and Munir Alsagoff. In this experimental Indofuturistic exploration, meet visionary futures that redefine cultural continuity. As we invent a new connection with the spirit of the land, let Living Ancestor take you on a cosmic, colourful journey into the horizons to come.
