Manimaran Creations
With 45 years in the local arts scene, founder and lifetime achievement awardee, the late Mr Manimaran groomed passionate dancers, giving them a platform to discover their talents.
Heartlanders and communities have always enjoyed Manimaran Creations’ rich, traditional, and cultural performances. The troupe performs at countless community events during Indian festive seasons throughout the year. Beyond local neighbourhoods, the troupe has also annually taken part in Chingay Parades, National Day Parades, corporate conferences, exhibitions, and events. Manimaran Creations has also been a household name, performing in several variety programmes for the local Indian channel for over 40 years.
By preserving and sustaining traditional Indian folk dance as their primary focus, Manimaran and his troupe have extended their footprints internationally, bringing pride and honour to our homeland.
Manimaran Creations specialises in most Indian dance forms. Some of the genres include classical and semi-classical, traditional Indian folk dances such as horse dance (kuthiraiattam), pot dance (karagam), stick dance (kolattam), scarf dance (oyilattam), and drum dance (thappattam). They are also known for their devotional, Bollywood, contemporary, and multi-ethnic performances.
