From Bollywood to Kollywood

Jasraj is a self-taught musician who plays several instruments, all thanks to his musical genes inherited from his classically trained family of musicians. Jasraj is also an avid whistler, exploring whistling as an instrument, covering both Indian and Western Classical music through his unique style. He keeps his passion for music alive with his wife and bandmate Raksha, by performing worldwide as part of their two-piece band RaJas Unplugged while managing his career and full-time senior position in financial services at a multinational firm.

Academically an engineer, Raksha has always had a deep inclination for the arts and thus after her engineering she followed her heart to pursue a career in music and voiceovers. She is formally trained in Hindustani Classical music since a very young age and went on to complete her Sangeet Visharad degree from the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, a prestigious music institution in India. She is also a professional voice artist and together with her musician husband Jasraj, she has performed at various live shows and private events around the globe as a two-piece band called RaJas Unplugged.
