Synopsis

The Litmus Jazz Ensemble returns for the 3rd edition of their MAD LABS series, fresh off their first international tour to Hong Kong. They bring with them a luggage bursting with explosive new arrangements and compositions.

Litmus Jazz Ensemble was formed in 2020 as a sandbox project for original jazz compositions. Since then, the band has gone on to make their mark in Singapore’s modern jazz scene with works ranging from the Litmus Sessions music video series in 2021, performances at festivals such as GastroBeats and Singapore Night Festival in 2022, and the release of their debut EP, LANDING STRIP, in 2023.

 

Fizzing in their crucible of jazz, funk, and neo-soul influences, and catalysed by their chaotic chemistry, Litmus Jazz Ensemble boasts a unique modern sound that sets them apart from their peers.
