This performance has been cancelled as Iman is unable to perform due to an illness. Please join us for a performance by Anne Weerapass instead. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and wish Iman a speedy recovery.


Synopsis

Conversations is Iman and Kenzo’s daring effort to carve out their own space in the vast music scene. In making room for themselves, they face many questions—What does music-making mean to them? Is there a point in making music they love if no one wants to hear it? This performance offers the audience a chance to listen in on Iman and Kenzo’s conversations and witness their process of breaking away from expectations to create their own musical identity.

Iman and Kenzo

When Iman first sang with Kenzo, she instantly knew their musical bond was something special. Together, they perform regularly with their close-harmony jazz trio, The Sugar Bees. Individually, Iman shines in vocal jazz and has performed with local jazz heroes Chok Kerong and Jeremy Monteiro. Similarly, Kenzo is active in the local alternative hip-hop scene, having released several instrumental projects and played with Mary Sue and the Clementi Sound Appreciation Club.

 

Outside of music, Iman and Kenzo are good friends who enjoy pop culture and cats.
