Dragon Glow

A_Root is a fusion band featuring original compositions for ethnic instruments, with members being Yilan natives. The instruments involved are the sheng, yueqin, liuqin, zhongruan, piano, cello, bass, percussion, and human voices. A_Root engages in ideological destruction and reconstruction relating to Taiwanese culture. Assuming the role of a storyteller, the band wanders across borders between traditional opera songs, jazz languages, and electronic sounds, merging contemporary folk rusticity with local Taiwan dictions to create an islandic festival where both humans and spirits celebrate together.
