Synopsis

Unleash your inner artist and bring humour to your drawings with this cartoon caricature workshop by Kamal Dollah! Learn the art of capturing an accurate likeness of someone's features and bring life to your sketches. Kamal, a seasoned professional caricaturist and founder of Cartoon.SG, will share his expertise and years of experience to help you master this art-form. 

 

Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this workshop is designed for anyone with a passion for drawing. Take the first step in unlocking your full potential and discover the fun side of creating caricatures. With Kamal's guidance and the right techniques, you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.

Advisory:

Children below the age of 12 need to be with an accompanying adult, both require separate tickets for admission. Accompanying adult must be 16 years old and above.

Artist Information

Kamal Dollah

Website

Kamal Dollah (b.1967) is a Singaporean teaching artist who specialises in caricature art and batik painting. Kamal graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in 1993, and has since kept himself relevant in the industry by actively being involved in the art scene. He returned to NAFA for sabbatical after attaining his Master of Arts degree in Contemporary Practice from the University of Huddersfield (UK) in 2007. That same year, he was accepted as the first South East Asian member of the International Society of Caricature Artists. Cartoon.SG was then established in 2008 to provide professional caricature art services and provide full-time employment to artists.  

 

Kamal has also been conferred the Artisan of the Year award in 2019 by The Rotary Club of Singapore for outstanding contribution to the arts and community service. He is also a record holder of three artistic feats in the Singapore Book of Records, a Distinct member of the International Society of Caricature Artists and speaker at International Society for Education through Arts (UNESCO).
