The entire cohort of LASALLE’s BA (Hons) Musical Theatre students come together to embrace the return of full live performances. A live stage, for many performing artists, is like a home. So returning to the stage, and to you, the audience, re-establishes connections. In this performance, the students aim to inspire through the art of song and theatre from artists such as Schönberg and Kretzmer, Pasek and Paul, and the great Stephen Sondheim. Join them in this celebration of voices and reconnect with your love for all things musical.
Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
LASALLE Musical Theatre
The BA(Hons) Musical Theatre Programme at LASALLE College of the Arts provides world-class education for gifted young performers. Internationally unique as an Honours degree—the first of its kind in Asia—it is designed to prepare students for professional careers in musicals, plays, cabaret, film, and television. Graduates are employed in the region, as well as Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Contemporary musical theatre demands that all performers can sing, dance, and act with equal skill—a ‘triple threat’. This programme trains such future professionals in these disciplines and gives one a rich historical and cultural context from which to interpret and create.
In addition to classes and workshops, one can continually be involved in realising a variety of partially and fully staged theatre productions, in a range of performance venues. These are led by both Singaporean and international professional directors, music directors and choreographers.
