Schola Cantorum Singapore Ltd. (SCS) was established in 2015 and incorporated in 2019 as a non-profit choir collective that seeks to bring the best art and art-making to the masses. The collective promotes and supports excellence in music-making and literacy both in Singapore and internationally by providing and supporting different platforms to engage with professionals and music lovers alike.
SCS’s various choirs have been commissioned to record and perform for numerous Singapore and world premieres in genres ranging from operas, musicals, jingles, live-to-screen performances, traditional choral and symphonic works. SCS has supported conductors and composers as a demonstration choir in masterclasses and was a partner for the fourth and fifth Asia Kodály Symposium. SCS has always been at the forefront of innovation and was the first Singaporean choir to record in virtual reality 360 and 3D audio technology. SCS has also embraced cutting edge technology that allows multiple singers to sing in harmony online. The choirs are led by Albert Tay and made up of music professionals and music lovers from all walks of life.
