Singapore Lyric Opera (SLO) Artists Training Programme (ATP) Singers will be sharing an evening of ultra tuneful and memorable melodies from well-known musicals and operettas with the audience, singing musical numbers from My Fair Lady and Carousel, amongst others. It will definitely be an engaging experience for both the performers and the audience.


Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Jonathan Mark Macpherson will not be performing as he is unwell. Please join us for the performance by Joyce Lee Tung together with Beatrice Lin on the piano. We wish Jonathan a speedy recovery.

Artist Information

Jonathan Mark Macpherson


Jonathan Mark Macpherson began his music education at the age of 7 when he learned to play the cornet in his primary school brass band. He has a Diploma in Music from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Art and a Bachelor’s of Music with First Class Honours from the Royal College of Music. He has performed in several opera productions, such as New Opera Singapore’s Die Fledermaus, Orfee aux enfer, SSO’s concert production of Carmen, NAFA’s vocal department production of Offenbach’s Les Deux Avuegles as Giraffier, Lîle de Tulipatan as Romboïdal, in Haydn’s La Canterina as Don Pelagio as well as the Singapore Lyric Opera’s productions of Le Nozze Di Figaro as Don Basilio, Don Giovanni as Don Ottavio, Cosi Fan Tutte as Ferrando and Die Schauspieldirektor as Monsieur Vögelsang .


In 2015, he sang the tenor solo in the Orchestra of the Music Maker’s outreach performance of Mahler’s 8th Symphony at Paragon. In 2018 was a Finalist in the Open category of the ASEAN Vocal Competition organised by the Singapore Lyric Opera. In 2020, he founded the new Early Music Acapella group “5AM”.Having studied with Soprano Dr Jessica Chen at NAFA, Tenor David Rendall at the Royal College of Music and is trainee in the Singapore Lyric Opera’s Leow Siak Fah Young Artist Training Program, Jonathan is a lyric tenor who has been described as an “Intelligent and expressive singer.”

Soprano, Joyce Lee Tung graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, studying piano. Later, she furthered her studies and graduated with a Master of Arts in Voice and Masters in Concert Singing from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Austria.


Lee was a finalist and winner of several international singing competitions. She was heard on several occasions on the European radio with music ranging from the early to new music repertory. She is co-founder of the collective, The Art Song Coterie and her professional operatic engagements include productions with Singapore Lyric Opera, Kuala Lumpur City Opera, The Opera People and Lirica Arts.


Currently, Lee is adjunct principal study lecturer for voice at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and adjunct voice teacher at School of The Arts Singapore.
