Artist Information

A Bigger Bang Percussion

Creating a percussive world that bridges the traditional and contemporary, East and West; A Bigger Bang Percussion aims to promote the art of percussion in its broadest sense, unrestricted by boundaries. This percussion ensemble comprises a team of young, professionally trained percussion aficionados who dabble in a wide range of percussion instruments and repertoire, ranging from ethnic drum music to contemporary works. An assemblage of percussion graduates and undergraduates from the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing as well as the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore; brought together by renowned local percussionist and conductor, Mr Quek Ling Kiong, A Bigger Bang Percussion aspires to live up to its name—surprising and greeting audiences with an explosion of new sounds and ideas!

Wu Juan

Our dance springs forth from sensations and dynamics, which emerge through the embodiment of intention. From the mind, through the body, into dance.

Wu Juan is a Singapore dance collective helmed by Singapore dance practitioners Li Ruimin and Zheng Long. Wong Zhuo Qin joins Dancing in Rhythms as a guest choreographer.
