Delta Hill City
Synopsis
Pre-dating rock and roll, the bedrock of modern music was established by Delta blues pioneers like Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf, and evolved with rural-urban migration to Chicago and Memphis, to name a few cities. North Mississippi hill country blues remained largely local and retained much of its African roots, evident in the music of RL Burnside, Mississippi Fred McDowell, T-Model Ford and Robert Belfour.
In this soulful performance, DeltaV presents Mississippi blues from the Delta in the south and the hill country in the North, featuring a line-up of guitar and drums.
