Shaping the Sound
Synopsis
Shaping the Sound features young violinists performing as soloists and ensembles, presenting music that is vibrant, expressive and immediately accessible.
The programme features well-loved works by Vivaldi, including his famous Concerto in B Minor for 4 Violins and Winter from The Four Seasons. Audiences will also hear music by Mozart and Tchaikovsky, alongside contemporary string writing by Japanese composer Yasushi Akutagawa in his evocative and dynamic piece, Triptyque. The concert concludes with a festive Chinese New Year celebration, bringing performers together in a joyful finale that highlights the energy and spirit of collective music-making.
