Synopsis

For too long, the global music conversation has been dominated by Western markets. But today, artists, festivals and creative communities across Asia are charting their own paths, not by following trends but by reshaping them. From pioneering new sounds and hybrid genres to building self-sustaining scenes and audiences, Asia’s independent music landscape is claiming its space on the world stage.

We bring together industry voices who are pushing boundaries and challenging perceptions of what “global” music looks and sounds like. They’ll share how Asian perspectives and practices are redefining creativity, and how cross-border collaboration and regional solidarity are reshaping the future of the independent music ecosystem.

Join us for a conversation on breaking molds, shifting narratives, and imagining a music world where Asia is not on the sidelines, but leading the way.
