“Here at last we have a musician of honesty, integrity and modesty with an uncontaminated sound...”
– The Keyboard Charitable Trust
A laureate of the 2021 Leeds International Piano Competition, Ariel Lanyi has performed worldwide with great success. He has been featured in several documentaries, including Superhuman: Genius. Ariel's varied discography has garnered critical acclaim, with the most recent 2025 album Organ Reflections receiving high praise from RAI, Gramophone and BBC Music Magazine.
The recital opens with Beethoven's Sonata Op. 78 "à Thérèse", a favourite of the composer. It follows with Schumann's Fantasiestücke Op. 12, showcasing his dual personalities. The eclecticism of Respighi is displayed in the Notturno and the 2nd Prelude on Gregorian Melodies. Poetry meets virtuosity in Chopin's popular Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor, Impromptu in F-Sharp, and the great Sonata in B Minor.
