Synopsis

With spirits as high as her rising fame, Tchaikovsky’s glorious Violin Concerto is the next virtuoso vehicle of Singapore’s brightest violin star, Chloe Chua. Bernard Hermann’s score for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 classic Vertigo grips you from the onset, gradually transforming chilling fear into poignant resolution. Directed by SSO Associate Conductor Rodolfo Barráez, this programme also offers Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis, with no let-up from its arresting opening all through to its exhilarating conclusion worthy of grand cinema.

This concert is recommended for ages 7 and above.
