A dedicated space for children and families to discover, imagine and play!

This children’s arts space includes a cosy loft, a roomy arts and craft area, a reading corner filled with books by Singapore writers and illustrators, as well as an outdoor play area. In conjunction with Esplanade’s festivals and series, we host a range of activities in this space, from storytelling sessions to self-guided craft activities.

The mural on the wall is created by illustrator Shelly Liew. Look out for PIP, our children's mascot! See how many PIPs you can find in the mural.

There are also specially curated craft kits packed with fun play and hands-on learning for your little ones which you can bring home. Materials and instructions are included in each kit.

Mon – Sun: 11am – 6pm
(Closed for cleaning from 2pm – 3pm)

Admission is free and for Esplanade&Me members.

Things to note before your visit

Please register at the entrance to PIP’s PLAYbox. Every human, big or small, needs to be registered, including infant-in-arms.
Registration is open to all Esplanade&Me members. If you’re not a member yet, please sign up for your free Esplanade&Me Discover membership ahead of your visit.
Entry is only for children accompanied by adults.
While mask-wearing is optional, visitors are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution.

Be kind, play nice

Grown-ups, please keep an eye on your kids at all times.
Shoes off before you enter PIP’s hideout. Please do not bring in food and drinks.
Park your strollers at the designated stroller parking area on level 4. Your kids’ bikes and scooters should also be parked here.

Craft Kits for Children

Bring home a specially curated craft kit that is packed with fun play and hands-on learning for your little ones. Materials and instructions are included in each kit.

Craft kits are available by donation only, and any amount, whether big or small, contributes greatly to what we do here at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.
