Hear iconic pieces brought to life by Eastside Story Productions, featuring selected works that explore the theme of fleeting time and childhood. Audiences can look forward to dynamic performances of well-known classics like Louis Spohr’s Sehnsucht & Wiegenlied, Paul Jenjean’s Carnival of Venice, Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Songs of the Clown, and Stephen Sondheim’s Send in the Clowns.

The set follows a narrative: A young girl drifts into a dream, where she wanders through a carnival filled with noise and colour, and pauses to listen to the strange, wistful songs of a clown. When she awakes, she realises that she is no longer a child. A woman looks into the mirror, confronting the passage of years and the seasons that have slipped away, and wonders how her youth has vanished.
