Audience members will be invited to randomly select ballet steps and positions, which the choreographer and professional dancers will assemble and shape into a new movement phrase in real time.
Accompanied by live piano music, this process reveals how a choreographer transforms individual steps into a movement phrase. Each performance features a one-of-a-kind creation, offering a fascinating glimpse into how ballet choreography comes to life!
This programme is part of da:ns focus – Ballet by the Bay, a ballet lovers’ weekend of classics and neo-classical works. Be inspired by world-class productions and be introduced to new perspectives on this celebrated art form.
