The Vibes
Founded in 2008 by one of Singapore’s football legends, Rafi Ali, The Vibes bring passion and energy to every performance. From rock and roll and soulful ballads to pop rock and classic rock, the band entertains audiences with music from a wide variety of genres and eras.
Rafi Ali (Drummer & Band Director)
Just like the tenacity he showed on the football field, Rafi Ali is just as passionate and talented on the drums. In 2008, he founded The Vibes and continues his mission of sharing his experience and knowledge with younger musicians in the industry. As a veteran musician who has been playing the drums since 2005, he leads his band in delivering high-energy performances at every gig.
Anthea Anne (Vocalist)
Anthea Anne is a vocalist, dancer, performer and songwriter. She was the lead vocalist of former all-female rock band, KYRA and is known for her versatility, delivering melodic riffs across pop, R&B/soul and rock. Singing along to Whitney Houston's hits during car rides from the tender age of two sparked her early passion for music. Never a stranger to the stage, she consistently enthrals audiences with her powerful vocals at every performance.
Shukor (Guitarist)
Shukor has been performing for over 35 years with several prestigious bands at concerts and clubs, both locally and overseas, including Indonesia, Finland and Taiwan. He also worked as a session guitarist for MediaCorp Suria Orchestra, the OMS NUS ORCHESTRA and artists such as Ramli Sarip, Rahimah Rahim and Coco Lee. He currently teaches guitar at several music schools.
Dindo (Keyboardist)
Dindo is a veteran of Singapore’s nightlife scene, having performed at venues such as Europa, Bar None, Raffles Hotel, Marina Bay Sands, Pump Room and Aquanova. As a solo pianist, he has accompanied local artists such as Hady Mirza, Linda Elizabeth, Wendy Koh, Aliah and Douglas Olivero.
Noah Abdul Eddie (Saxophonist)
As a saxophonist for the past 30 years, Noah began his music career with the military band, working with The Music & Drama Company and performing in nightclubs and bars. He later furthered his studies in classical music and also worked with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra as a solo saxophonist. Throughout his career, he has worked with orchestras, theatres, big bands and various show bands, undertaking both studio recordings and live performances. He has performed across Europe and South-East Asia and is currently a full-time music teacher and a performer.
