Synopsis

Celebrate the Singapore spirit with works by local composers and arrangers in Tunes in Purple, specially commissioned for The Purple Symphony, Singapore’s largest inclusive orchestra. With its unique instrumentation and vibrant spirit, look forward to a fresh new way to experience music!

 

Enjoy original pieces inspired by everyday sights and sounds, alongside medleys blending classical music, folk tunes and beloved Singapore melodies. Highlights include excerpts from Bizet’s Carmen Suite, a xinyao medley by Liang Wern Fook, and Singapore-inspired works such as Kreta Ayer and Fortitude by Liong Kit Yeng.

When a show is cancelled, ticket buyers will be duly notified by the event organiser primarily via email.
