Synopsis

Odissi is a classical dance form from the eastern state of Odisha. The young dancers from Chowk will present Mangalacharan, an invocatory piece, followed by two pure dance items, Sthayi and Pallavi. The performance will end with the Mokshya, the final item of an odissi repertoire, signifying the dancers’ complete surrender as they let go of the individual self and merge with the larger universe.
