The Tapi Project
Synopsis
The Tapi Project revive and retell the stories of modern India through compelling songwriting and compositions that are simple and accessible. Their music spans folk, jazz, and rock, weaving in diverse influences. Some of their appearance highlights include Sessions, Windmills Craftworks, Abhivyakti Festival, the prestigious Mahindra Independence Rock Festival, and Spoken Fest. Following their 2024 single, Varsaad, a song celebrating the monsoons and featuring Raghu Dixit, the band released their soul-stirring new song Aa Gaye in May 2025, a first in what will form a two-part album rolling out this year.
Fresh off their second UK tour this season with a prestigious showcase at the Celtic Connections in Glasgow, the band undertook a creative residency with London-based The Third Orchestra, alongside a series of workshops and performances, premiering their collaborative project The Third Eye with The Third Orchestra.
