Jasper is a percussive fingerstyle guitarist who utilises percussion, harmonics, and alternate tunings to achieve the effect of a full band on one guitar. Over the past two years, Jasper has consistently refined his sound, returning with new original compositions and arrangements that reflect the journey he has been on. From powerful, high-energy songs to intimate sentimental ones, Navigating Through Darkness hopes to take you on an emotional journey that demonstrates strength through resilience and empathy.
Jasper Quah
Inspired by some of the best fingerstyle guitarists such as Marcin Patrzalek, Andy Mckee and Calum Graham, Jasper draws influence from these artists to create his own unique sound. At 16 years old, Jasper released his debut album Velvet, which features 10 of his original compositions. He also participated in the Natasha International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition 2024, where he competed against more than 200 guitarists worldwide and made it to the finals, eventually placing 20th.
