Synopsis

The Tampines Meridian Junior College (TMJC) Choir presents a musical journey spanning centuries of choral tradition. The performance opens with the light-hearted wit of the Renaissance and Romantic eras, featuring John Farmer’s Fair Phyllis and Robert Pearsall’s Who Shall Have My Lady Fair.

The program transitions into a space of profound reverence with the sacred polyphony of Palestrina’s Sicut Cervus and the lush harmonies of Bruckner’s Locus Iste. The performance culminates with modern storytelling, from the rhythmic energy of Father Thunder to the gentle waves of Eric Whitacre’s The Seal Lullaby. Closing with Kim André Arnesen’s soaring Flight Song, the TMJC Choir celebrates the power of the human voice to lift the spirit and connect us across time, sea, and sky.
