80s – 90s: RaJas Unplugged

Raksha has always had a deep inclination for the arts. After graduating with an engineering degree, she followed her heart to pursue a career in music and voiceovers. From a very young age, Raksha was formally trained in Hindustani Classical music. She went on to complete her Sangeet Visharad degree from the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, a prestigious music university in India. Together with her husband Jasraj, she has performed at various live shows and private events all around the globe as part of their two-piece band, RaJas Unplugged.

Jasraj is a self-taught musician who sings, whistles as well as plays quite a few instruments, thanks to the musical genes from his classically trained family of musicians. Currently, Jasraj is exploring whistling as an instrument in both Indian and Western Classical music through his own unique style of whistling. Along with his wife and band mate Raksha, he has performed worldwide as part of their two-piece band RaJas Unplugged, all while handling his full-time job as an investment banker at a senior position in a multinational firm.
