Outspoken: Red Dot Edition

Outspoken has been organising spoken word competitions in Singapore since 2022 where poets go head-to-head across three rounds, performing their original works for audiences who will act as judges. A highlight of these competitions is the improvisation round, where poets create new pieces on the spot using words suggested by the audience.

Outspoken has staged this dynamic format at various venues across Singapore collaborating with prominent partners such as Esplanade, Singapore Writers Festival, and the National Library Board. More recently, Outspoken produced Out and Up!, a sold-out spoken word showcase proudly presented by poets Cheyenne Alexandria Phillips and Don Shiau.
