Chelle & Ailouros presents original songs and multilingual poetry exploring coming-of-age in Singapore and Australia, and life in Japan. Enjoy both original and improvised music tapestries inspired by nature and culture, and go behind-the-scenes of their collaboration through dialogue and demonstration. Gain insights into the the confluence of language, identity, family and universal human experience in their cross-genre work. Catch the premiere of the poem The Ocean Blue 《 蔚蓝的海洋》, written and performed in English, Mandarin and Teochew by poet Michelle C, with Mandarin translation by literary translator, Christina Ng and music by composers Eugene Ang and Alvin Wong.

Chelle & Ailouros is home and playground of Michelle C (performance poet/ jazz vocalist/ emerging singer-songwriter), melding her poetry with original and improvised music.
Chelle collaborates with composers Eugene Ang (pianist) and Alvin Wong (guitarist) in songwriting and spoken word performance. Eugene has recorded albums with jazz band, Mellow Motif and with flutist, Rit Xu. Alvin Wong, musician and educator, graduate of Berklee College of Music, currently leads his own bands, Spiral Group and Gypsyfication.
Chelle’s multilingual poetry has been featured in the New Landscapes Anthology (2019) published by Lungs Project (UK/ USA). Her current projects include travel memoir and fantasy.
