These writers bite — Deep cuts with Lynette Teo, Cleo Cheng and Jonathan Chan
Synopsis
Join Lynette Teo, Cleo Cheng, and Jonathan Chan for an evening of poetry and deep conversation, presented across two engaging sets.
In the first set, Lynette Teo takes audiences on a journey through the pitfalls of life, love, and dating. Selected readings from Away From Fairies, Koi, I’m Going to Die Alone, and a snippet from the bestselling drama-suspense novella Killing Part blend familiar stories with intimate personal accounts that will resonate with anyone who has ever ventured into the woods looking for love. This session will be moderated by Jonathan Chan, author of going home (2022) and bright sorrow (2025).
In the second set Cleo Cheng deconstructs her confessional poetry in search of new meaning. Expect incisive, political poems from american/dream; candid reflections on love from bite; fantastical visions from mirror monster dagger doom; and an exclusive preview of her forthcoming work. This session will also be moderated by Jonathan Chan.
