Patch and Punnet has once again enlisted the swag of the Lil’ Shake crew, a group of performers who spit rhymes about Shakespeare—reimagining the bard and his works through the lens of rap. In this performance, they will bring raps from McBeat and the Lil’ Shake Crew alongside other pieces that pay tribute to Shakespeare’s beloved characters and stories.
No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Founded in 2017 by millennials for millennials, Patch and Punnet strives to make original work that is equally playful and irreverent as much as it is reflective and provocative. This bunch of creatives don’t take themselves too seriously, and hope to create a welcoming theatre scene that inspires creativity, conversation and change.
The collective staged Stupid Cupid (2018), The Adventures of Abhijeet (2019) at the M1 Fringe Festival and Fika & Fishy (2020) at a quaint unoccupied shophouse in the heart of Little India. During the pandemic, this group of digital natives migrated to the internet and YouTube, with an online sketch show called The Patch and Punnet Show (2020), before returning to live experiences with McBeat and The Lil’ Shake Crew (2022), commissioned by Esplanade.
