Formed in 2014, The Tapi Project have carved a distinctive path through experimentation, defying the confines of genre . Instead, their music is shaped by individual and collective influences—their travels and keen observations of the world around them—resulting in a sound that feels both personal and expansive.
Following the release of their eponymous album in 2016, The Tapi Project embarked on their debut tour in Europe in 2016, followed by three more tours through 2022 across over 30 countries in Europe and parts of SouthEast Asia. Appearances include Trunchonbury Festival (UK), Jazz Na Calo (Bulgaria), Lucerne Festival (Switzerland), Everness Festival (Hungary), Awaji Festival (Japan), Festival Ulicnih Sviraca (Montenegro), and Festival Karusel (Serbia).
They have also been featured on prominent print and radio platforms such as Songlines Magazine (UK), BBC Radio, Serbian National Newspaper and Hong Kong National Radio, Rolling Stone India, The Statesman, Streaming Museum NY etc. After extensive international touring, they returned home for theirIndia tour in 2022, playing at major festivals, platforms and venues, including Mahindra Kabira Festival, SOWS Festival, World Sacred Music Festival, Gujarat Literature Festival, and MTV.
