Step by Step – A Kathak Journey

Founded in 2018, Swarna Kala Mandir (SKM) is a Singapore-based Indian performing arts company dedicated to promoting bharatanatyam and kathak. With branches in Yishun, Woodlands, and Choa Chu Kang, SKM trains over 200 students in both the theoretical and practical aspects of classical dance. The company’s artists have performed at prestigious venues in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and India, including Esplanade's Kalaa Utsavam . SKM has produced successful shows like Dhaara –The Divine Rainfall (2019) and Shanmatham (2023),as well as collaborated on performances such as PRAMBANAN (2024) and Ananda Kondattam (2025).
