Spoke the Mynah Bird is a spoken word and soundscape performance reflecting on South Asian experiences within the Southeast Asian context, exploring the layered intersections of identity. The mynah—its birdcall a familiar voice in both regions— becomes a symbol of in-between-ness, echoing the fragmentation and fluidity of identities.
Artists Kansh and Agastya weave poetry with field recordings of common yet distinct sounds of spaces they have been in, tracing their journey through sound and memory.
