Synopsis

Join the talented musical duo, Raksha and Jasraj, as they take you on a nostalgic journey through acoustic renditions of evergreen Bollywood classics and Tamil songs from the '60s to the '80s. Raksha, a trained Hindustani classical musician, and Jasraj, a self-taught multi-instrumentalist with a distinctive whistling style, bring warmth and familiarity to every note. Perfect for those who cherish the classics, their heartfelt performance will transport you back to the melodies that defined our youth!

Raksha

 

An engineer by education, Raksha has always had a deep inclination for the arts. After completing her engineering degree, she followed her heart to pursue a career in music and voice-overs. Trained in Hindustani classical music from a young age, she went on to earn her Sangeet Visharad (Bachelor’s in Music) from the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, a prestigious music university in India. Raksha is also a professional voice artist. 

 

 

Jasraj

 

An engineer by training, Jasraj is a self-taught musician who sings, whistles and plays quite a few instruments, all thanks to the musical genes he inherited from his classically trained family of musicians. He is also exploring whistling as an instrument, blending Indian and Western classical music with his unique style.
