"The greatest pianist in the world, the artist whom other pianists almost universally venerate for her formidable technique and her instinctive musicianship" – Washington Post
Known for decades as "the greatest pianist in the world, the artist whom other pianists almost universally venerate for her formidable technique and her instinctive musicianship" (Washington Post, 2016), the legendary Martha Argerich returns to Singapore to headline her first festival here!
Over the course of three nights, Argerich will share the stage with friends and family in chamber music, and with the Orchestra of the Music Makers with her definitive interpretation of Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto.
Keeping with her longtime commitment to championing the future of classical music, Argerich is also immensely proud to present the next generation of young pianists in her festival, including her prodigious 14-year-old grandson David Chen and the newly-crowned Van Cliburn Competition winner Yunchan Lim. Rare events not to be missed!
