The Seminar – Don’t Teach Art invites audiences into a dynamic exploration of art as a catalyst for open, pluralistic dialogue. Through an engaging mix of sculptures, drawings, performances, and workshops, Tang Da Wu challenges notions of artistic instruction and instead proposes art as a space for collective inquiry and conversations.
A programme of 60 Connections – At Home and Afar, a year-long season of Singapore stories and international collaborations in celebration of SG60.
Tang Da Wu
Tang Da Wu (b. 1943) is best known for his performance art and installations, though his practice extends across a broad range of media, including drawing, painting and sculpture. He often draws on mythological narratives to raise awareness of social and environmental issues through his work. Provocation and commentary lie at the core of his practice, alongside a keen attention to aesthetics. Tang is also the co-founder of The Artists’ Village, a leading contemporary art collective in Singapore that was established in the 1980s to encourage artists to create experimental art.
