Synopsis

Not Quite Gone, Not Quite Finished navigates the liminal space between waste and renewal, practicing a form of material sampling that breathes new life into discarded ceramics, unwanted artworks, and expended materials.

Tok gathers the remnants of creative processes, rescuing what has been cast aside to rework and reimagine. This act of appropriation disrupts traditional artistic values, challenging the very notion of what is deemed worthy. Waste becomes a site of transformation, its debris carrying the silent histories of touch, rupture, and use. By engaging with these fragments, Tok explores the delicate tension between permanence and fragility, authorship and anonymity, destruction and regeneration.
