Synopsis

The CHIJ Secondary School Concert Band presents a vibrant programme that celebrates both musical range and youthful energy. From energetic band works and expressive percussion features to nostalgic movie and anime favourites, the concert journeys through familiar soundscapes before closing with modern pop and upbeat pieces. Together, these pieces highlight the band’s versatility, bringing energy, variety and a sense of fun to an engaging evening of music.

 

Bringing the arts to communities in need through Limelight

Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.

CHIJ Secondary School Concert Band

The CHIJ Secondary School Concert Band is an established performing arts group with a strong tradition of excellence, earning the Certificate of Distinction at the 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2025 Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentations. Guided by the school motto “Simple in Virtue, Steadfast in Duty,” the Band values commitment, diligence, and hard work. United by “One heart, one mind, one band, one sound,” the Band continues its dedicated pursuit of musical excellence.
