Synopsis

Under the direction of alumnus Mr Joseph Teo, the Bendemeer Secondary School Concert Band returns once again to Esplanade’s Limelight concert series. From cinematic masterpieces to chart-topping hits, join the band for an unforgettable experience that bridges generations and genres! Highlights include Joe Hisaishi’s Departure, Masanori Taruya’s The Last Letter from Murdoch, as well as pop favourites such as YOASOBI Medley, set within a wider programme that showcases the band’s ever evolving musical identity.

 

Bringing the arts to communities in need through Limelight

Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.

Artist Information

Bendemeer Secondary School Concert Band

Since its formation in 1977, the Bendemeer Secondary School Concert Band has been emphasising both the passion for music and the musical proficiency of its members. Over the years, the band had staged numerous performances, including public concerts and at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation, engaging audiences with the band’s collective energy and love for music. Most recently, the band had achieved the prestigious Gold Award at the 2024 Asia Pacific Band Festival and was awarded the Certificate of Distinction at the SYF Arts Presentation in 2025.
