Synopsis
Victoria Junior College Symphonic Band (VJCSB) returns to Limelight with an unforgettable evening of music.
This year, VJCSB presents an exhilarating musical journey, showcasing a dynamic and diverse repertoire. Under the baton of Mr Adrian Chiang, the evening begins with a dive into myth and legend, as the band brings Satoshi Yagisawa’s Perseus to life—a thrilling, heroic tale told through powerful melodies and dramatic flair. The adventure continues with a high-seas journey through Hans Zimmer’s At World's End, capturing the epic spirit of the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
Next, immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of Armenian folk music with Alfred Reed’s Armenian Dances Part 1, before grooving along to the nostalgic energy of Sounds from the 60s, a medley of timeless classics that shaped a generation. As the night unfolds, the magic of jazz and love is brought to life through Masamicz Amano’s stunning arrangement of La La Land Suite.
