Synopsis

“…home was not a place at all. Home was a feeling that sprang directly out of Amma’s masterful, loving hands.”

Join author Prasanthi Ram for a dramatic reading of select excerpts from her debut fiction Nine Yard Sarees, with playwright Jaryl George Solomon.

Hailed by The Straits Times as “one of the best debut books of Singapore fiction in 2023,” Nine Yard Sarees is a multigenerational tale about a fictional family named the Srinivasans. Told through eleven interlinked stories and nine female narrators, the book takes readers across the globe from Singapore to Connecticut in search of home and belonging.
